| Dato | Come puoi chiamarlo | Obbligatorio |
|---|---|---|
| Asset Tag | Asset Tag · Asset · Tag · Etichetta · Inventario | sì* |
| Tipo | Tipo · Tipologia · Categoria · Type · Device type | consigliato |
| Asset Function | Asset Function · Funzione · Function | facoltativo: Standard o PC Refresh.
| Modello/Descrizione | Modello · Modello/Descrizione · Model · Descrizione · Description · Dispositivo · Device | consigliato |
| Numero di serie | Numero di serie · Seriale · Serial · Serial number · S/N · SN · Matricola · Service tag | consigliato |
| IMEI | IMEI · IMEI/MEID · MEID · Codice IMEI | sì* |
| Stanza | Stanza · Room · Locale · Ubicazione · Posizione · Location | no |
| Stato | Stato · Status · Disponibilità | no |
| Note | Note · Nota · Commenti · Notes | no |

| IT-0101 | Laptop | Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 | PF4A1B2C |
| IT-0102 | Laptop | Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 | PF5K9M3E |
| IT-0104 | Tablet | Dell Latitude 7320 Detachable | 8H2KLM3 |

| Foglio senza tabella | ignorato |
Everything you need to get the data in on the first try, with no discarded rows and no columns lost along the way.
The template already carries the right headers, the room separators and the dropdowns: starting from it, you do not need to read the rest.
The name must be written in one of these forms. Case and extra
spaces do not matter: ASSET TAG and asset tag are the
same thing. Columns it does not recognise are ignored, and the program lists them
for you before importing.

* Either one is enough: asset tag or IMEI. If both are missing the import stops with a message, and nothing goes in.
Four columns are enough, and the order does not matter: the program recognises columns by name. The room can be written in its own column, or left empty and declared by the separator rows. If there is neither, the program asks before importing: a device with no room does not get into the inventory. You choose to put them all in one room, or to decide it one by one, device by device. The same holds for a room that does not exist - Cantina - because there the device would show up in no card; the extra space and the wrong case are forgiven instead, and the room goes in under its official name.
The template to fill in has the same columns as an exported file - Asset Tag, Type, Asset Function, Room, Notes - with the dropdowns on Type and Room and the room separator rows ready. That way you export, fix things in Excel and import back without changing format. The other columns above stay importable: if your sheet has them, they are recognised by name.

If the sheet holds devices from several rooms, you do not need a Room column: just break the list up.
A row with a single cell filled in, containing a room name, assigns that room to every row that follows, until the next separator.

The valid names come from the configured rooms: the full name works, and so does any word that is unambiguous.

Case and a trailing colon do not matter: KIOSK,
kiosk and Kiosk: are the same. If you rename a room, the
valid names follow along.
A row with more than one cell filled in is not a separator: it is read as a device. Leave only the first cell written.
If you call the model Item description, that data does not go in. The program lists the columns it did not understand before importing: rename them as in the table above and try again.
Two rows with the same asset tag do not create two devices: the second one updates the first. Handy for bulk corrections, but watch out if it was not intended.
They are always ignored, and the program says how many. Phones are entered by hand only: they carry an IMEI instead of an asset tag and have their own shipment rules.
A status that is not among the expected ones is reset to Available. The valid statuses are listed in the Istruzioni sheet of the template.
An asset tag like 0012 becomes 12 in Excel. Format
the column as text before pasting, if your codes start with a zero.
| In the file | Result |
|---|---|
| Complete row | imported |
| Empty row | skipped, not counted as discarded |
| No asset tag and no IMEI | discarded, and reported |
| No model | imported, field left empty to fill in by hand |
| Type iPhone | ignored |
| Extra columns | ignored, listed before importing |
| Title above the table | skipped |
| Several sheets | all read; a sheet named after a room counts as a separator |
| Sheet with no table | ignored |
Nothing is written until you confirm: the summary shows all these counts and you can still cancel.
The Collaudo folder holds two ready sheets - a regular one with 30 devices, ten per room, and one deliberately carrying every mistake described here - plus eight step-by-step checks.
